The live chat widget puts a chat button on your website. Visitors' messages arrive in your shared inbox as tickets, and on workspaces with the AI agent turned on, the agent can answer first from your help center.
Every workspace starts with a Live chat inbox, so you can install the widget right away.
Add the widget to your website
- In your workspace, open the settings of your Live chat inbox. It shows your install snippet with the inbox's public key.
- In the inbox's allowed websites list, add the domains where the widget will run, for example
www.example.com. The widget only works on the domains you list, so nobody can copy it to another site. - Copy the snippet. It looks like this, with your own key:
<script src="https://korareply.com/widget/v1.js" data-inbox="pk_your_public_key" async></script>
- Paste it just before the closing
</body>tag on every page where you want the chat button. On most website builders, use the "custom code" or "footer scripts" setting.
Reload your website. The chat button appears in the bottom right corner.
How it behaves
- The widget is isolated from your page (it uses its own shadow root), so your website's styles cannot break it and it does not restyle your pages.
- It loads in the background (
async), so it does not slow down your page. - Visitors can chat without giving their name or email. They can add an email so your team can follow up if they leave.
- Before a new visitor's first message, the widget runs a quick Cloudflare Turnstile bot check. Most people never see it; if Cloudflare wants a click, a small checkbox appears above the message box.
- Answers from the AI agent are always labelled AI assistant.
- A returning visitor on the same browser sees their earlier conversation.
- New messages from your team appear in the widget within a few seconds while it is open.
On the Free plan the widget shows "Powered by Kora Reply". Paid plans can remove it.
Troubleshooting
- The button does not appear: check that the domain in your browser's address bar is in the allowed websites list (with or without
www, exactly as you visit it), and that the snippet is on the page. - Messages are not arriving: make sure the inbox is active in your workspace settings.
- The button covers something on your site: contact us on WhatsApp and we will help you adjust it.
